Phil Weiss head coach 1949 to 1962

A standout football player at St. Johns during his college days, he was an assistant coach on the swim team when he was asked to mentor the Tech track team.

His relay teams won two Distance Medley Relay Championships of America at Penn Relays in 1954 and 1956. In October of 1962 he was posthumously honored with a memorial trophy by the Brooklyn Tech Health Education Department for his 12 years of service as Tech track head coach.
